I just saw some show with some dude called "Bill O'reilly" in it, and he says the biggest fear of America should be Holland

sound abit like BS to me ?

but what do you , the avarage american think of Holland ?

we have

- Weed is Legalised ( 18+ and only for personal use)

- Drinking 16 ( bier etc, heavier things like wiskey are 18+)

less then 30.000 euro ( arround 35.000 dollar) you pay arroun 20%

30.000 to 50.000 euro ( 48.000 dollar) you pay 40%

above 50.000( arround 60.000 USD) you pay 50% of your income

my parents both make arround 60.000 Euro a year, so they pay a lot of tax

but i think its a good system to make the rich people pay more taxis then the poor people

you can keep a country well balanced

and, for Car drivers here, Holland has the best Roads in the world

Abortion is a medical procedure that removes an unwanted baby.....adoption is adoption. Abduction is a stranger taking a child......

Holland is like a 2nd home to me, i plan on moving there permanently within 5 yrs or so. The lifestyle and general attitude is so much more laid back and relaxed than anywhere else ive been to, its just a pity that its so flat (i'm a mountain biker) but with centraal stn ur only a few hrs train ride from the Alps in France or Austria, Switzerland etc.

To sum up my feelings for holland, its the only place i genuinely feel at home and happy in myself.

guns ARE legal in holland are they not? I know they dont exactly hand them out but they are a damnsight easier to get in holladn than britain I know that much.....

Except it's an inane response. Government redistribution of funds doesn't make things fair. Fair is an impossible concept in reality, just like World Peace: It's a nice idea, but the likehood of it happening is non-existant.

Awesome country. But I am biased because I was born and grew up in Nederland.:P

Kids are mature a lot younger than in other countries and schooling system is very good.

Oh and Weed is not really 'legal', but it is 'accepted'. I also think it's good that prostitution is legalized because it keeps it clean(er) than when it is illegal.

What are the taxes like? And don't you have like window-shop prostitutes?

Edit: I see that taxes have already been discussed. I wouldn't like that myself.
