For someone who was supposed to be "The Chosen One" ,or something like that, he was really overshadowed by pretty much everyone else. Never watched anything past Dragonball Z, so I don't know if he was any good in GT. BTW, Vegeta was cooler than Goku. And Master Roshi was cooler than them all:D
Wait, you thought he was better before and during the Frieza saga? Is that a joke? He was a whiny little runt who could hardly do a thing at that point. He wasn't even a particularly useful character in the show until he and Goku trained together in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber before the Cell Games. :?scorch-62But I liked the way he would surprise us with his hidden power and stuff, making me think he would play an important role and be badass in future episodes but...
...that.For someone who was supposed to be "The Chosen One" ,or something like that, he was really overshadowed by pretty much everyone else.

Upthrough the Cell saga, Gohan was a pretty cool character to me. His story arc, with him taking over his dad's job of earth's protector was neat and how it played out was dramatic enough. From the Buu saga on, his character just became a waste of space as he went the other way (Really?Who chooses college over becoming the most powerful being in the universe?) and really had no more purpose in the series.
I believe he was a great character.
Too bad not to many people liked at because he didn't have the same caveman mentality goku or vegeta had where when they had a problem they would just beat something up until the problem gets magically solved.
it is actually great to see a character like gohan quite refreshing gets kinda boring seeing big burly men spouting the same words "i love fighting, come on lets fight, omg i am having so much fun having my face getting pounded repeatedly"
gohan was the only realistic character out there.
I thought he was a pretty cool character as a kid. As a teenager he was annoying. I always loved it when he got really ticked and kicked the crap out of people. Was he the best character? No (that was Vegeta), but he was still pretty cool.
I'm sorry, but I must know what you are referring to.my only opinion is
the balls are inert

edit nevermind I googled it.
Great character with massive potential. Because of the cell saga, he's my favorite character but then the writers just nerfed him for Goku and the whole idea of him being 'the chosen one' crumbled under their indecisiveness. Disappointing.
Its DBZ every thing was a big waste of time, If there was ever an anime that didn't deserve its fame its that. And it set a precedent that many anime followed for years...thefiller logic...Why have a short and complete anime when you can spend 20 episodes on a fight where only one punch is thrown and every motivation behind that punch is talked about.
I liked Teen Gohan but Kid and Adult Gohan were real annoying.fabz_95His strategy for fighting Majin Buu stunk - if he had gone SS2 he would not have been absorbed. He was higher than normal, but he wasn't SS2.
