Your opinion on soccer/football/futbol?

well since the world cup is this year, i thought i would take a poll on OT's opinion on soccer.

I hate the word soccer.

I'll watch it every once in a while, but usually it's fairly boring. That being said, I'm moderately excited for the World Cup.

Did you mean football?:P I like it. Not a huge fan but I watch some of the biggest matches in season.

I only watch it during the World Cup, and I am Brazilian.

All sports are incredibly boring, especially with others going on and on about it like they've got nothing going on with their lives. Oh and to watch as well.

That being said, I'm still very excited for the World Cup, seeing as how soccer is the best of the bunch. Not a great bunch, but it's still the lesser of all boredoms.

More entertaining then baseball, basketball, and American football...for what little that is worth. :P Most sports can be fun to play...but so god damn boooorrring to watch...soccer included. :P Darth-Caedus

How can you say it's more entertaining than basketball? It takes them an hour to score at all in football sometimes.

yeah indeed, I get really frustrated when I watch a sport that doesn't have 3 dozen timeouts every game

First of all everyone should call it football, cause you actually control the ball with your feet rather than holding it in your arms. Secondly, i like to play it more than watch it, but when i occasionally watch it, i do because it's more fast-paced and dramatic than other sports i guess. Third, ice hockey rules.colibriosis

I'm not much of a diehard fan although i follow the LA Galaxy. It was a pretty fun sport to play when i was a kid though.

I understand not liking the sport, but how can you hate something just because of nationality? The same goes for people who hate anything American such as American Football just because it's American. Is it just like how Sony fans hate Halo just because it's not on the Playstation? I find football boring myself. To each their own. I am a hockey man and at times also a baseball and basketball man.

Soccer/Football is still worth watching, but it gets boring over time. I still like the world cup soccer tournaments.

Yeah, I watch the World Cup... but I don't watch Premiership Football, its boring.

Personally, I'm not a huge soccer fan, but for me, it's not always about scoring. The games that keep going back to back without much scoring are the most intense and the most fun to watch.

i was trying to make a funny sarcastic remark. It doesn't translate through type apparently

I used to think it was a boring sport. But I went to a few matches in Europe and started learning about the game. Now, it's my favorite sport to watch. (European football fans are nuts. They rival Japanese baseball fans.)

I grew up playing sports. So, yeah. I love sports games with soccer at the top just slightly. Although I didn't play too much of it. American football is my second favorite. Come September when the NFL season starts, forget about getting a hold of me. I'll be glued to the tube. Same with the World Cup.
