Okay so, for my biodynamics/anatomy course in college, I asked my professor if we would need to know these certain topics in the textbook for our next test (since I don't remember her going over that in the class). It was the CORRESPONDING chapter too, and she emailed back to me saying "no my test are made from my lectures". So what the FRACK was the point of buying an overpriced textbook?
I also hate how school, for the most part, is a test of memorization rather than actually intelligence. This is just from my experience, so don't flame me on that.
I recently called an advisor at a university I'm planning to transfer to (for a music program). She said "we don't only look at ones GPA, we also look at one's music potential. Sometimes somebody's potential can't be determined on a transcript", which really made my heart light up. I have a knack for learning music but I can't learn jack squat in academics.
