Wow, that was funny and stupid all at once. I dont think he deserves a sentence over it though, maybe just some good hard ridicule and media exposure showing how dumb he is will fix the issue.

My uncle once did this to someone but after a minute of leading them on he told them it was a joke. The only bad thing about this man is that he didn't say he was joking at the end but seriously what kind of sentence are going to give him?

He was drunk, I guess it's a shock no matter what but he must have had some doubt that a guy muttering and struggling to string a sentence together told them their son was dead. Still a terrible thing to do.
