She no longer shares the same religious views that made her the person you love. Now, she claims belonging to a religion whose doctrines you don't accept. She is still loving to you and will promise to be by your side despite her new beliefs. Do you stay married to her or do you get a divorce?
I honestly don't know what I would do. I hate the d-word, but I do want to think the only logical choice is to get a divorce to someone who now shares a set of religious beliefs different than I do. I don't think I could accept someone who loved God before herself or me even and considered God to be the basis for her life, for example, even if she was kind and sweet to me. It would just seem wrong, as though we were no longer meant to be. I think, though, that I would rather stay with her than move on because I really do hate the idea of divorce in any circumstance, even if it may be logically justified sometimes.
