I was just wondering what you guys thought of him? Do you like him? Not so much? Enjoy his music? Not enjoy it? Even know who he is?

My most favorite song he does is In The Air Tonight. It's very pretty I think. And the video to Land of Confusion is quite nightmarish.

When Phil Collins was with Genesis they made some excellent music.  Unfortunately, I still prefer Genesis with Peter Gabriel at the front, because they made some incredible progressive rock early on.  However, I do like Phil's earlier stuff, especially "Face Value."

And for the person that said they liked "Land of Confusion", Phil was actually still with Genesis at that point as that song is off the album "Invisible Touch."

But, like I said before, Peter Gabriel's stuff will always be better.  Especially, the album "So."  It has songs like "In your eyes", "Sledgehammer", and "Big Time."  A lot of more mainstream stuff there, but he has some excellent progressive rock albums, as well.

:| *blinks a few times* Well anyway, the reason I brought all this up was I heard that song on youtube... a friend made me listen to it and I was all "Ugh this is going to be bad." Then I realized WHO it was ... and it hit me like a wall of poop. I'm going to buy a few albums tomorrow :P

Do you recommend any specific songs or albums? Or just go with the Greatest Hits?

Boring singer, and a horrible song writer. I shiver at the thought of listening to a Phil Collins album.

WTF is with the epic bumps. :|
