What do you think about prostitution? Should it be legal?

I think it should be, but with some restrictions. Workers should have to pass frequent medical exams to prevent the spread of STDs, and condom use should be mandatory. your thoughts?

Prostitutes have no self respect for themselves, they are pest and they spread diseases and they are dirty, I dont know why women would wanna give themsleves like that just for money. Yes they have to make a living but still its just not right. But thats just me, for those who think its okay you are nothing more than pervs who think with your dicks instead of your head and think of getting laid all **** day and do nothing for our society and probably make it worser than it is before. But thats just me. My opinion.

If it was regulated, the rate of diseases and crime would decrease. In countries you're talking about, prostituation isn't in any way regulated. 

I believe prostitution and marijuana are illegal because the government wouldn't know how to tax it.  Think about it, anybody can grow and sell weed and anybody can prostitute theirselves.  The government wouldn't know how to control this.  And everybody knows the government wants control especially if what they're controlling generates money.  The internet was once free, but you guess it, the government took over, not it's not free.

But that's not the direction the United States society should be heading.  It shouldn't be that women who are poor, have to start having sex with a bunch of men just to get food on their plate.  That shouldn't be a goal for our country.  We should be trying to improve our ways of life, not have people degrade themselves to survive.

Morality aside, I think it should be legalised, but brothels only. That way, pimps are taken out of the picture. It also forces the police to protect prostitutes, male or female.Apathetic_Prick

I live in Canada, land of the red tape, and people in the U.S. will sue over a chipped dime so you can bet your ass that proper protection would be the letter of the law of legalised hookin' in North America.
