That bothered me the most. There were other issues as well though. I guess hearing Tomas Lindberg's voice so much eventually made me accustomed to his styIe. It almost seemed like Jimmy Strimell (I think that's his name :P) was going for a more "metalcore" sound or something.I agree... A New Disease Is Born was super lame. I hated the vocals too.

From my blog:
Top Albums of 2009
Number 5:
Swarth by Portal. The first time I listened to it, I hated it. I came back to it a few days later, and loved it. It has a great atmosphere to it.
Number 4:
Steven Wilson's solo album, Insurgentes. It's just a great album. Harmony Korine and Significant Other are my songs on it.
Number 3:
Anno Domini High Definition by Riverside. This is one of my favorite progressive rock albums of all time. Riverside are getting really good, and I look foreword to what they release in the future.
Number 2:
A Taste of Extreme Divinity by Hypocrisy. Hypocrisy are one of my favorite death metal bands, and this is the best album they've put out since their self-titled back in 1999.
Number 1:
The Incident by Porcupine Tree. No surprise here, right? Porcupine tree is my favorite band, and The Incident is one of their best albums, so it takes the number 1 slot.
1. Addicted - The Devin Townsend Project
2. The Voice of Steel - Nokturnal Mortum
3. Swarth - Portal
4. New Moon - Swallow the Sun
5. I can't choose so I'll let it be either Wavering Radiant - Isis/Exivious - Exivious/The Doppler Effect - The Algorithm/Everything is Fire - Ulcerate
In order:
1. Trail Of Tears - Bloodstained Endurance
2. Infected Mushroom - The Legend of the Black Shawarma
3. Leaves' Eyes - Njord
4. Lacrimosa - Sehnsucht
5. Sirenia - The 13th Floor
These are actually the only 5 albums I bought in 2009, so all I did was sort them in order of preference. :P
