Your Top Five X-Men Villians

As a huge X-Men fan, I think they personally have some very cool villians or villian teams. So I am curious what Villians are your favorites, and yes you can list single villians or a whole villian team as part of your list...so my list is.

1. Magneto(The Original the best, and the most tragic)

2. The Hellfire Club(They may not be what they used to be, but back in the Claremont days, they were a great threat)

3.The Brood

4. Mr. Sinister and his Marauders

5. The Dark Phoenix(She may have only came once, but she will forever be their greatest threat and their most personal enemy)

Honorable Number Six...Apocalypse, had to mention him, he could be a true threat but in my opinion not many writers have used him properly.

So what are yours?

Are you going with Emma Frost as the White Queen, Jean Grey/Phoenix as the Black Queen, or Selene the Black Queen or all three? I am guessing all three :D

Actually, you know what, having looked into it I noticed that a lot of these slutty costume wearing superpowered girls are actually heroes and not villains.

Well Emma Frost is no longer a villian, so yeah that would not count. She is Cyclops girlfriend these days. Jean Grey when she became the Black Queen was under Masterminds control, but....that was not even Jean Grey but a fake Jean Grey that was really the Phoenix. The only one that is a villian is Selene The Black Queen.

1. Magneto - Though I love the current good guy role he's doing. Fraction really knows how to redeem someone. Helping Kitty Pryde, pining over Rogue... good stuff.
2. Mr. Sinister - Who knows what he has done or what he has changed to fit his ideas. Essex has orchestrated so much and has his hands through the mythos so deep... I'm just waiting to see what happens with him next. It's been a while since we have had a good Sinister story
3. Apocalypse - Yep, not much to say here. Created Cable essentially, plans of global domination, threat to so many. I would love to see a Marvel wide crossover with him, kind of like a current timeline Age Of Apocalypse story.
4. Cameron Hodge - A dark horse in this list for sure, but he, like Sinister, has effected so many storylines. X-Tinction Agenda was made so much better with his creepyness and the killing of Warlock.
5. Mystique - How many times has she played both sides for her benefit? Really the second best devious mastermind in the X universe right behind Sinister.

I like TC's list, though I'd replace Sinister with the Sentinels and/or bigotry in generalxaos

Yeah I can see that. The Sentinels are vital to the X-Men Mythos. I can see why they would make ones list. The reason though they did not make mine is that the Sentinels for the most part have been tools of others such as Lang, and Cassandra Nova. BUt there have been times when they have been on their own like Days of Future Past and the several times Master Mold. But they are great villians but thats the reason why they did not make my list and Sinister did.
