What made the first so good imo was Skeet Ulrich's

performance, very underrated actor.

What do you mean by psychological horror? The first thing that popped in my mind was Seven...And anything by Dario Argento. Suspiria is a particular favorite...But really, I have no idea what would classify as "psychological horror"spazzx625

Suspiria is one of the most overrated horror films ever... I thought that movie was awful.

What's more important to you - the horror part or the psychological part? Because there's American Psycho, but's it's not horror.

And thanks for every bodies suggestion guys, I'll definitely check some of these films out.

A lot of people really seem to like Session 9 though it didn't really do much for me.

2001: A Space Oddysey. Donnie Darko. The Hannah Montana Movie.

I watched The Exorcist (1973) and The Omen (1976) and both are awesome, not that much scary, just awesome!
You can also try Rosmary's Baby, El Orfanto (The Orphanage), Maybe SAW, but it got cheap now.

silent hill is a great one. the video games are pretty awesome too.

Well the pinnacle of the series that best follows what you want would have to be The Shining.

Just finished watching A Tale of Two Sisters.

It was really good, so I'll recommend that.
