Youtube - Worst Place for Comments?

I find most comments on Youtube are racist, sexist and generally all around offensive.... Am I alone here? Perhaps Youtube should invest in some moderators.

Yeah, it's a part of the reason I decided not to put my video reviews on Youtube. And instead go for blip.tv, which while it has much less traffic is a lot more professional.

yeah just pop on comment on yahoo, even if its a little kid that dies from some sickness and just yahoo reporting the sad story, there will be A-hole that will just say the most stupidest things on there.

but then again i comment on others people stupid comments and trol on them, yahoo seems like they have no mods, so its pretty much troll heaven on there :twisted:

I enjoy the reading the stupid/ignorant/funny comments on Youtube. Some of them actually brighten my day. Not really. I just thought that sounded good.Thuganomic05

Not only are the comments bad but Youtube is in a complete mess.

For a site that has so many children and generally decent people using, youtube isatrocious.

Yeah, the lack of mods and the anonymity will cause that to happen. I think yahoo news comments are just as bad if not worse.

I find it far more troubling that people are in favor of censorship. Very elitist. A lot of people don't express themselves well and their views aren't exactly mainstream, but they've got a right to be heard as well. Otherwise we truly will be living in Orwell's 1984. When did this whole thing start where it's not enough to disagree with someone, but they actually need to be silenced? Pretty damned sad if you ask me.

Yep with Yahoo being a close second, I just stop reading comments on Youtube.

Idiots shouldn't have access to the internet.

YouTube is a cesspool of ignorance and stupidity. But I have to admit that a majority of the comments are pretty funny.
