Ok,GS..OT..People.See there's always a chance of an event like this happening.You never talk about it,but you know it's out there.
Zombies.

Now in this thread you will share your knowledge about what to do in a Zombie Apocalypse.

My tip

Avoid using melee weapons.

Find high ground, preferably secure with a nearby, reliable food supply. Have as much ammo and guns as possible (and yes plenty of melee weapons), and have some stuff to keep yourself entertained for a loooonnnng time. . . *coughs* porn :p

Firearms are loud, need ammo, have to be aimed, can jam easily, and it's hard to find supplies for them.

The point of melee weapons is not to kill the zombie, it's to be able to escape from the zombie. If you miss a headshot with a gun, you're screwed. Whereas hitting a zombie with a baseball bat hard enough might not kill it, but it sure will disable it so you can get away. Zombies can't do much if all their limbs are broken.

Blood splatter isn't a problem as you keep a safe distance and use bludgeoning weapons.

Get to a military base ASAP. Machine guns will come in handy.

Like in Timesplitters 2... great game. Anyways, I would keep a stash of ammo handy, perhaps go to the second floor of a house in the country and destroy the stairs. Or call for an evac chopper. Maybe I should bring a few friends too...I thought this looked cool, too:

Warning signs to look for (zombie apocalypses don't just happen):

Scientific experiments gone wrong in the news

Reports of gruesome cannibalistic murders

Towns suddenly becoming ghost towns, people sent in never come out

Reports of people being bitten/mauled by "gruesome humanoid creatures"

As soon as you see something like this happen, try to get away from the area as far as possible. If that isn't possible, grab a few friends and load up.

One final, inportant piece of info:

CHANSAWS, HOWEVER COOL, WILL BE RIDICULOUSLY IMPRACTICAL. Think how hard it would actually be to lug one of those around, plus, as stated before, the blood splatter would probably get into wounds and infect you.

Use baseball bats, axes, chainsaws, ect. Anything melee.

Zombie apocalypse never struck me as a theme about heroic triumphs, unless if you are Super Alice from the Resident Evil films
