Zoo's blow...

I went to the zoo today because it was 3 dollar zoo day and you get into the zoo for 3 dollars, so It was extremely crowded with familys and women smoking while pushing strollers, then it made me realize that zoos suck, its horrible, the animals just lay there and do nothing (this is in florida) it was also extremely hot, the only cool part was touching sting ray's.

But whats your opinion on zoos?

meh, I haven't been interested in zoo's since elementary school

most of the time the animals look pretty unhappy anyway, or they don't do much movement in the day therefore you get there and see a lion and it's like "oh look, a lion.... sitting there.... sleeping - I wish I was sleeping. screw this I wanna go home and sleep."ok maybe not exactly like that, but yea :roll:

A good trip to the zoo is where the zoo ain't crowded, the admission price is reasonable, at least some of the animals do something other than sleep and instead provide amusement for the onlookers, and finally no little kids are yelling and screaming "LOOK IT'S A TIGER/LION/MONKEY" which in effect scares the animals away anyway.

So unfortunately, I don't think there is a zoo in existence that satisfies all of those criteria. I do enjoy it occasionally, but they are not the most fun in the world.

Why does everybody hate zoos so much i love looking at all the animals. There so awsome. To me aquariums are plane boreing. You just go there and look at fish not my type of thing.

Zoos are great.(i.e. good zoos are great).

Zoos are okay but aquariums are much better big time and more exciting.

What zoo did you go to?

I haven't been to one in a while. Last one was Lion Country Safari and its kind of cool you can drive around inside the large areas where the lions and such wander around. I don't remember the Metro Zoo much.

I guess I have no opinion. Since it has been over 10 years since I have been (I'm in Florida too).

Well this is true, but.... as long as the animals are looked after, have enough space, water and food I don't think they care too much, the zoo here has a ton of room for the animals, but I would say MOST zoo's are too small....

The National Zoo is free. I guess thats why so many animals die...

But they have Pandas!

Zoo's are ok. It just depends who you go with and which one you go to.
