007 Legends any good?

I know it did pretty poorly in reviews and such, and I honestly expect it to suck, but I love Goldeneye 64, Perfect Dark 64, Timesplitters 2 and 3. I miss those kind of games and while "Goldeneye" (the new one) on the Wii (then remade on PS3 and 360) was a far cry from those, it was pretty fun (despite many issues with controls and such).

My point here is, I had no idea Legends was on PC until I browsed Steam just now. Anyone buy it and is it any good? Probably not :P. I want Timesplitters 4! :cry:

I hear it failed pretty bad, like DNF bad.

I will end up getting it for like $2.50-$5.

But since we are getting a ps3 soon, They have that goldeneye revolution, which I hear actually did pretty good.

Saw playthroughs of it, all you do is shoot wave after wave of enemies. It's pretty much all run-n-gun COD style of gameplay with the occasional sneaking. Definitely not worth the full 60 dollar price tag if you ask me.

It's bad for both Bond fans and gamers in general.

For Bond fans, it doesn't at all capture his essence, each mission is a watered down, shoot em up representation of the classic movies you won't understand if you didn't see them, and will hate for all the shooting and lack of love.

For gamers, it is just a plain old mess. Short, incredibly hilariously buggy, broken, lacking in content and just boring and repetitive.

They should make a James Bond RPG. I think that would work well for 007.

More RPG and adventure game elements would make sense for a Bond game. Keeping it a first-person shooter is fine as long as it has a decent stealth system. This game has a below average stealth system where you literally punch people in the butt!

I've watched the Quick Look on Giant Bomb. Its awful, even for a COD knock-off. lol at a screening of Skyfall the publicists were like 'have you tried out the 007 game from Activision?!' Awkward! :lol:

Yea I hear the movie Skyfall is their highst grossing bond film in theaters.

I also hear its a more gritty bond.. (please no spoilers)

Quantum was alright, its just very cliff-hangery (and left a lot of unanswered stuff, even from Casino) Casino was better. Hopefully Skyfall fills in a few of those holes.

Quantum the game was even ok.. (I found it better than Blood Money)

Its been a while since I played a good bond game. (I think the last good bond game I played was on xbox 1, Everything or Nothing) I hear goldeneye revolution is pretty good, but it isn't on pc.

As for reading the review, it is definitely going to have to be after we see the movie first. My girl, and I should so see it together.
