1 8800 gtx or 2 8600 GTS?

upgrading pc for first time in long time, just getting opinions on which is better. 1Geforce 8600 GTX 768MBor 2 Geforce 8600 GTS 256MB.

Two 8600GTS cards = $300

GTX = $500

But then again, even the $300 8800GTS 320MB would a better choice than two 8600GTS cards in SLi.

Just do this, it ALWAYS works. 1x8800 = 8800, while 2x8600= 17200. So therefore, it is quite obvious that you need to go with the 2 8600. It just adds up...BlackStalker

One 8800gtx. Not all games will use SLI.dunamistheou

But for the games that don't, one can simply use the second card for cranking up AA.
