My parts for my PC are coming in a day or two, and Ive heard of people partioning 10 gigs just for windows. Have any of you hear of this, and if so what do you think?
10 gigs is plenty for a system partition, although you may want to consider changing default program files directory if you install lots of games/programs to keep the windows partition uncluttered

Yeah, i had a problem with that! It got to a point where i couldent install some programs.
10 gig actually is barely enough for me, I only have 1.2gig left on the XP partition. It recomends 15% free for optimal performance, and I have to say, XP is really running slow for me, especially at startup. When I bought my new hdd, I allocated 25gig for Vista, and I already have 11gig left. So if you can afford to, try to partition 12 or 15gig for the XP section.
