Is there a visible difference in 1080p and 720p on a 32" screen? Going to be used for xbox 360. Thanks for your help!

Unless you're watching blu-rays or PC gaming, no. Next to no 360 game can output true 1080p. Unless you wanna make this TV last a long time then 720p is fine.
If your using it a pc monitor like me from a 3 feet viewing distance then yes. But 360 has almost no ways of outputting a native 1080p signal almost no games on it are 1080p and hd-dvd is dead now and if your not sitting 4 feet for closer your not going to see the full benefit of 1080p over 720p unless you have very good vision above 20/20.
360 games look better when upscaled to 1080p.. Plus, if you get the 1080p tv, you won't be kicking yourself in the arse in the very near future, when everything is running natively at 1080p... Just my 2 centssuperclocked
They look best on a non-generic 720p set due to no scaling/very little of it.
with the 360 its not really going to make any difference since most 360 games tend to be native 720p BUT I would still recommend a 1080p tv if you can afford one since most can still display 720 and you'll be future prooding yourself somewhat for when more 1080p sources start popping out penpusher
Most if not all modern TV's at 1080p will not display 720p. They will accept a 720p image and upscale it to 1080p.
@ironwarrior2
Please advise at what distance you will normally be watching television, and with what devices you will be using your TV (PS3, Wii, PC, cable, etc). This will directly impact whether 1080p is a worthwhile investment, as many of the prior responses have alluded.
Happy gaming,
Boz

I would prefer a 1080i CRT personally.. Also, with upscaled games, you can blur the image slightly, which adds a sort of antialiasing effect. The textures are 720p anyway, so the edges blur before the textures do on a 1080p tv :)[QUOTE="ChubbyGuy40"][QUOTE="superclocked"]360 games look better when upscaled to 1080p.. Eww, hate blur so much. One of the reasons I don't play Reach or KZ2. Far too much blur and they won't let you take it off.
with a 32" set, you're not going to see the benefit of 1080p unless you sit ridiculously close to it (highly unlikely) If it is much cheaper, i would go with the 720p set, as that is the native resolution of most 360 games anyway, so you won't be seeing many artifacts on screen
