I hope they do a proper PC port this time, and not just a straight port. If so, they have my money day one.Elann2008

Unless they can find a way to stop hackers online, I feel no confidence in the PC version of Dark Souls II.

They are releasing it for PC alongside the console versions. Also, on the Dark Souls II website, a Games for Windows LIVE logo is nowhere to be seen.Honestly, from the released footage, it looks exactly the same as Dark Souls 1. Which is exactly the way I want it to be :D
We'll see if there is any subtlety to the story, I really liked the mystery from the first game.Â
I'd like to see some changes to combat, at least in multiplayer, to make it a bit more competitive and diverse, rather than just be about fishing for backstabs. I'd honestly like to see backstabs removed entirely, in both pve and pvp; or only able to be executed with a small, select group of weapons where there's some sort of trade off ie less range and lower normal damage for the ability to backstab and increased critical damage. Would also like to see some practical/functional uses for dual-wielding as well.
I think that that is a good idea. That would be ideal, but honestly anything is better. Though GFWL was good because you could send messages to summons.Â

Looks to me that it has a few more elements from Demon Souls than Dark Souls did. Finally got me a PS3 and have been playing through Demon Souls. Such a good game :OHonestly, from the released footage, it looks exactly the same as Dark Souls 1. Which is exactly the way I want it to be :D

Confirmed PC is the lead platform and it will support 60 fps while consoles will still only have 30. It's not next gen either :P

My PS3 needs some love, though! But in the end, this is good news. It is harder to make a game with the PC as the lead platform, but in the end, every platform benefits.Confirmed PC is the lead platform and it will support 60 fps while consoles will still only have 30. It's not next gen either :P

This is likely fake but there ahsn't been a GFWL logo at all for DS2 yet and some say it uses steam servers

I don't think anyone has found a way to completely stop hackers, but it would be nice if they at least made a solid effort. Seeing as they made absolutely no effort for the first game, I don't know how high my hopes are for this one. All they're doing is adopting a better PR stance by saying PC is the lead platform. Doesn't necessarily mean the PC version will be the best.[QUOTE="seanmcloughlin"]

Well, hopefully someone makes a custom box art of that, and I'll soon replace whatever FromSoftware/Ban Dai will have as their box art. It looks awesome.[QUOTE="seanmcloughlin"]Still might be. Seems pretty standard for current box arts. Well it's sure better than the original Dark Souls box artNah, just a placeholder or something I think. But it would make a pretty badass box art
