Is it just me or does $15 sound like a ridiculous price for 4 new maps?

Have they always charged this much for a map pack?

No one's telling you to buy it.

Of course it is an absolutely absurd and ridiculous price. 4 Black Ops maps or Mass Effect 2 and save $5? Hmmm.........................Decisions, decisions...

Well the good thing about this is that Activision's competitor, EA, has more chances to release map packs for free like we recently got for Bad Company 2 to win customers over. A game that has map packs which you have to pay equivalent to 3 indie packs that are on sale now or a game that completely releases their map pack for free. [And you can still pick up those indie packs ;) ]

4 maps and a zombie map.

Perhaps most people that play a lot of Blops will think they're worth it.

If they're indeed made by Raven, I'll buy the pack.

Really, when you think of what else you can get for $15 dollars it really is a joke. I think that if they released free content that would help promote their game and give people an extraincentive to buy it. I love what Tripwrire does for their games. Free content updates for Killing Floor/Red Orchestra and followed by a sale. Whatever, I'm not the business genius.

plus the community of PC gamers are more hardcore then the casual gamers you'd see on xbox live pc gamers (imo) are much more mature and more skillfull at games then those COD players on Live so it could be the change in the type of players your playing against that affects your k/d and play tactics

$15 is a quarter of the game's price. :x I miss the days where PC games used to get free map packs or user created maps.

I didn't have to go through any **** to play the game but I agree that after putting PC gamers through so much just to get it running, the $15 is a slap in the face.

It's sad to say this...but the reason it's $15 is because people buy it. The MW2 map packs were $15 a piece. So many people complained, and still bought them. Now if people stopped buying overpriced DLC I am sure the price would be lower.

The best thing you can do is ignore them. Complaining about it won't dissuade anyone who wants it from buying it - you're just wasting your time.

Definately a rip off compared to what you get with Bad Company 2 Vietnam.

I agree that back in the day we got this kind of stuff for free and was nice. But now is the time of DLC and lots of pay to play built into games. That being said, I have actually really enjoyed black ops on the pc and will pay the 15 bucks for the pack. 15 bucks doesnt sound that rediculous for 4 maps that can be played on multiple game mods. I havent had any of the issues some of my friends have had, but i know i have a newer pc The game is not as good as MW, but so far I have around 40 hrs in the multiplayer and new maps will add more I'm sure. I also just downloaded battlefield bc2 Vietnam. Looking forward to trying that as well.
