because next to no games utilize 4 cores, it's not usefull, even crysis utilizes 4 cores veeeeery little, basically a quad core is a slower dual core. Though the best quad core is better than the best dual core... if you have like $1500...

if you do alot of things outside of gaming then the quads are usefull, they're also more future proof than the dual cores, aaand you can just overclock a quad core to perform better than a stock dual core

Looks good, but I would get 4gigs of RAM because the stuff is dirt cheap. I think I found 2gigs of 800mhz for $19 the other day =/

1066mhz would increase your ability to overclock, but I don't think you need to worry about that right now. Gigabyte has great quality mobos. I absolutely love them.

Also just wanted to point out, the E8400 is incredibly good, the clear choice for the processor. Also make sure to catch the RAM on sale, Newegg has like 2GB for $20-30 almost every other day.

Future cards in a year or two might take advantage of the higher bandwitdh. It's a whole new computer and maybe the TC wants to use the same motherboard for 3 years.
