My buddies and I usually play command and conquer generals over our home lan, but recently so many people have gotten into it where we can't all play in the same game. Are there any RTS games that can support more than 8 players (16 ideally), or is there a mod for generals out there that lets you use more than 8 players? Also I should not none of us of very impressive rigs, so something with low requirements or an older game would be ideal.
Try setting up a tournament instead. This way you can have all of you play at once, do teams of 4 or 2 and set up a bracket. You can even get all your buddies to put in 5 dollars, making an $80 prize. If you had teams of 4, you can split it at $20, but if you had teams of 2, you can get $40 each. It sounds like a good idea, if you lose you only lose 5 bucks, if you win you get 40.
