Hi im looking into buy a monitor for my xbox 360. It has a aspect ratio of 16:10 which is the standard for monitors. However most HDTVS and the Xbox 360 supports 16:9. If i hook up my 360 to the 16:10 aspect ratio view what will happen? will the image be enlarged, the same, or cut off like some tvs without widescreen? THanks

It is stretched ever so slightly. You can tell a little bit by side by side comparison such as in the picture posted above, but it is really hardly noticable when playing. In other words, don't worry about it. Most important is that you get a good quality monitor.

The 360 just will not display in 16:10 you will get an inferior picture. I have a 16:10 monitor and the 360 just can not out put in the resolution.

Actually it might do a single 16:10 resolution, but it won't do 1680x1050.
