Honestly i'd wait. I have a HD4870 512mb and I decided to wait until January to see what I should do.

Only game I could think of for OP would have to be Crysis. As for me the only problem is I chose 512 instead of 1gb :( at the time I had a monitor that had 1440x900, I later got a 1080p monitor. Plus I only have one pci-E on my GA EP45-DS3L.

I would wait.... If only because it would lower the price of 48XX cards.

Wait... the new cards may be coming as soon as September 10th. Even if you do not wantg dx11 old ati cards will come down in price.
