We just got a new computer.

The first computer is in my sisters room, and is connected to the router and the modem, and into the phone line.

The second (new) computer is in my room. What is the easiest way for me to connect, as buying a network cable would not stretch all the way into her room where the router is! im stuck!

They make 100 foot network cables...

As well as sell boxes of 1000 foot.... Though you have to add the rj-45 connectors onto the end of them and cut it yourself and stuff. Not pre-made.

There's even USB wireless receivers if you don't feel like opening up a PC to install the wireless NIC.

Some old Powerline Ethernet adapters seem to be on clearance recently, and would be fine for general use - home networking, less so. They just plug into electrical outlets and transfer data that way. Very handy. Also very expensive, regular price.

I agree with both of them, get a wireless card, I'm still using the linksys WMP54G card and it works when connecting from upstairs and downstairs as even far as the basement too. And the card does not have to be the same brand as your modem or anything of that nature.

You mean the other PC is connected to the router which is connected to the modem which is connected to the phone line, if the PC itself was connected to all 3 it wouldn't be necessary :?
