Im sorry in advance, as this talks about Xbox 360, but i didnt know where else to go. :/, anywho, im buying a 24" monitor for my xbox, so thats around $200-$300, now, my question is, would it be better for me to get 2 monitors or get a KVM switch? if i were to get a second monitor, for my computer, it would be a cheap $100 18" monitor, or, buy a KVM switch, any advice please?, is a KVM switch worth it? thanks and sorry in advance.

There's a number of monitors with HDMI ports. If you can hook up your 360 with HDMi, then you can use DVI for the pc. There should be a button that lets you go through the different inputs (on my Samsung monitor, it is called "Mode").

Yea most decent monitors will have both HDMI and DVI and you just swap modes with a button on the monitor.

ohh, ok thanks, but see i use a headset for my 360, so i need to buy a VGA cable regardless, so then that takes me to my original question, would it be better to buy a cheap $100 monitor for my comp. or buy a kvm switch, sorry if this is frustrating, xD, but your really helping out an uneducated kid here, and does anyone know a trusted, or recommended, monitor company? thanks.

... you still shouldn't need a kvm switch or a second monitor. as previosly stated, a good monitor will have a vga connection, a dvi, and an hdmi. you can switch the sources with the buttons on the monitor. so your pc will use the dvi, the xbox will use the vga. you may need a vga to dvi adapter if your current pc output is vga but that will still be cheaper than buying a kvm or another monitor.
