Hi I'm running 2 x 9800GTX+ 'S in SLI mode. The thing is that I have a spare 9600GT thats not doing anything could I pop this card onto my MOBO and use it as a physix card ? I know that this might be overkill but I just dont like to see a card not doing anything it would be nice to utilise it. Thanks in advance for any response. :)

Thanks in advance for any response. :) It really isn't worth it... it has some issues and sometimes you can see decrease in performance from adding the card. The problem is mostly that not enough games out there support it; let alone offer up such a "huge" performance increase to have that third card in their running all the time generating massive amounts of heat. However, if you have decent cooling for your cards and overclocking is unaffected by adding the 9600; might as well. Otherwise, keep the 9600 and keep the overclock (if you have oc'd it).

I have a HAFF coolermaster case with 6 fans and a hot air exhaust fan and my processor has a water cooled. heat sink
