Agree with the games on the list for the most part, though they really should of included No One Lives Forever 1 & 2 as well as Clive Barker's Undying, Rise of the Triad, SWAT 3 & 4, Tribes Vengeance and Arcanum as overlooked PC gaming classics.
Also, The Longest Journey wasn't a flop....in fact, for a point & click adventure game it was actually quite a hit, especially for the time when the genre had been written off.....the sequel Dreamfall on the other hand didn't do well, but that could be attributed to the fact that the sequel went the multiplatform action-adventure route instead of sticking to it's adventure routes....the action adventure crowd weren't interested, and PC adventure fans of the original were disappointed in the change in design direction.
Out of the three choices in your poll, The Longest Journey is definitely my pick, an amazing story and great adventure game that was a classic release the genre needed at the time. Hopefully, someday we'll see another adventure classic that lives up to it's pedigree.
