This has been a really fun year so far in gaming! From 07 Q4 till now, what game have you been MOST satisfied with. For me it has been WITCHER I am really liking European game releases, last year's favorite for me was STALKER. Recently, I have been caught up in playing GTA IV. I pre ordered AGE of CONAN. I was wondering what are the next highly anticipated games because the next big release I can think of is FAR CRY 2, maybe FALL OUT 3 anyother releases that might not be so hyped?

I don't think I've played too many games since Q4 07. I didn't really enjoy The Witcher (at all). If Crysis came out in Q4, I guess I'd have to say that.

EDIT: Well, I guess I could say Grand Theft Auto 4. It definitely isn't a 10/10 in my book, but it's a pretty decent game.

well, we've had sins of a solar empire thus far in 08. mass effect on the 27th (and i fully expect it to be an awesome game) would be added to the list of awesome games released in 08. bia: hell's highway and a vampyre story may join that list. and stalker will join the list for sure in august. that's five possible great games by august. spore in september. far cry 2 sometime around that month. and after that will be the holiday season in which (hopefully) a handful of great games like project origin and starcraft 2 and left 4 dead will be released. sounds like it'll be a great year to me.

I guess CoD 4 came out a bit before Q4, but I'm loving the multiplayer. Gives me a quick adrenaline fix.

I played Sins of a Solar Empire, but couldn't really get into it, not that it's a bad game, sci-fi is not my thing I guess.

I'm excited for some future games coming up though: I'm in the early access for Age of Conan and basically all the games fireandcloud mentioned, total war:empires, half life: episode 3 (maybe), WAR, fallout 3, also curious to see how huxley will turn out.

It's okay at the moment. Once Mass Effect comes for PC then things will really start kicking.

I bought Sins of a Solar Empire, Audiosurf, and Assassin's Creed for PC this year and I found the three of them to be good purchases.

Well looking at the PC only (This is the PC forums after all...) The great part didn't start yet in 2008. It's going to start in 2 weeks from now. The games will start to flow in faster then beer in an Irish bar! So many good games, I'll need to make sure I will be able to afford and play them all!

Same here, but if you missed out on q4 2007 you should be ok with games.

I enjoyed Sins of Solar Empire quite immensely. And that's really the only game that fits in your time quarters lol. I've recently been playing many older games I haven't gotten to play and been having a blast. Like Medieval 2:Total War - hands down my favorite game of all time, Syberia 2, Homeworld 2, Silent Hunter 3 and so on. Also have Sof 2 on the way along with pre-orders of Mass Effect and AoC. I really don't understand how any pc gamer can be bored, we aren't limited by generations of consoles or backwards capability and such.

Echoing others. Sins was decent, COD4 is great, but mostly I'm looking to the future, there are a bunch of MMO's in developement. A lot of which look really great and revolutionary, but so far 08 has been quiet on my front. I'm keeping my eye out though!

This year's been pretty dry so far. Sins was magnificent, but that's about it for me. Gonna get Sam and Max Season 2 as soon as Paypal gets its act together.

Very dry on the whole, though. In fact, the drought is so severe, I recently picked up a couple consoles to lighten the load. I won't say which because it would seriously harm my reputation and bring either my gender, sexuality or both into question.

But one thing's certain, it definitely wasn't a Wii and a DS.

Definitely wasn't.

Havn't really been too impressed this year except for GTA:IV which is actually a hell of a lot more fun than I thought it would be. Best sandbox game ever, hope it comes to the PC, have enjoyed the series much more off consoles. Haven't tried Sins of a Solar Empire yet, looks and sounds fantastic, but I don't really feel like investing the time into an RTS right now especially not one that seems so epic in scale. Still have my fingers crossed that AoC will be something special, itching so bad for a new MMO, guess I'll see tomorrow when the early access starts.

As far as later this year, Project Origin is looking good. I've had my eye on Left4Dead since it was announced and it keeps looking better. Starcraft 2 if it comes out this year, but I'm not holding my breathe. Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning may very well be a WoW contender (don't think there ever will be a WoW killer) or at least a great DAoC tribute. The World in Conflict expansion should be a good play. Think the new Tomb Raider will be coming some time this year, had fun with Legend and Anniversary so maybe the next one will be alright. Alone in the Dark looks fairly promising, as does Far Cry 2. All in all it should be a good year for gaming, but I don't think it's going to get near 2007 in terms of quality and I'd probably die of a gaming overdose if it did.
