I'm about to but a 22" monitor the samsung 226bw and was worried about game performance dropping as the native res is 1650x1050. I currently use a 19" lcd and play games at 1280x1024 maxed out with no problems, will there be a huge performance drop from playin games at 1650x1050 or not enough to really notice?

Given your system specs, I don't think you'd be able to play game at 1650x1050 too smoothly without toning down the levels of detail.

Not the really demanding games like Oblivion but most games will play fine on that res.

I'm thinking of getting a 22" as well, the best picture you get is in the native resolution right?

At 1650x1050, would there be a big performance jump from an 8800GTS 320mb to 640mb? Does the mem play a big role in res?
