Gummit is right, if you sit more than 4 feet away from the screen (based on the study done), then you will have a harder time noticing the difference in resolutions between the two screens, given that at those distances, the eye would have trouble discerning the extra stuff, and by then, what would matter more is contrast, color reproduction, and etc. BUT, if you sit at say 2 feet away from each monitor, then you, of course, would notice a difference between he two. Point being, Gummit is right and he interpreted the graph correctly, multiplat, you are wrong.

Since when did gummit ever mention 4 feet? he specifically said you MUST be WITHIN 3 feet.

You are so stupid it hurts. What you are unleashing upon the world is actually cruel.

Actually your fasciantion with me and my bodily fluids, is not cruel, ...but rather entertaining... i have been gone for vacation, and the second i come back it takes you but 1 hour to get you riled up.

Gummitard, you calling other people stupid after all the mentally challenged things you have said... you define the defense mechanism: projection

anyways, since you like to spend your time scouring the internet for things to make you feel better about yourself. ... here i have something for you.

Good to have you back my friend, I can always count on you for a laugh, but remember we are laughing with you and not at you...well most of the time

Multiplat doesn't understand pixel size vs view distance.

ya seriously, Gummitard, just give up already...although i find you waaay more entertaining when you become obsessed with other peoples' bodily excrements. Instead of a game forum, I'm surprised your not on a SCAT forum...anyways, just sayin

It was, for a while... but if the personal mud-slinging keeps going I think I might have to lock it just to make a point. :P Can we try to talk more about resolutions and less about each other's brain capacity, please? Thank you. :)

Please lock more threads on this board. It's going downhill fast.

well, i think its apparent to us all that you don't have the ability to admit your wrong, so we can assume you will never cease...especially since you seem so obsessed. Also, you're like proving my point by me claiming you don't read well, since you would have known why one week had passed...anyways, the mod is right, if you really want to talk about things as gross has people's excrement, I'm sure there are other fetish forums that are up your ally. thread lock , i concur.. although there is really no stopping him from following me to other forums as he has demonstrated in the past, but I actually don't mind, as I also always welcome him for a good laugh :)

I post in 2 forums, this and pc games, I did not follow you anywhere.

The fact of the matter is the size of the pixels on a 30" display with a 2560x1600 resolution are too small to see from 4 feet, You will not be able to actually see the pixels until you get to about 2 feet away, meaning that you don't need 2560x1600 if you are going to be 3 feet away, you could have gotten a smaller resolution for cheaper and still got the same visual quality.

Ask, and ye shall receive. This thread is now locked. We try to look for problem posts (and users) but moderators are volunteers and our time i limited. We miss things. It's a huge help for us if the community members who see these things report them. The moderation queue is watched closely, and if we're able to establish a pattern of problem behavior from specific users then we can take action on that. The more valid reports, the sooner something can be done. Meanwhile, we will increase patrols in the neighborhood, and crack down more sharply on any thread-vandalism we see. :)
