No difference at all, don't be fooled -- just like DDR3 vs. DDR2, there is no difference other than price.

The difference in performance is next to non-existant,just get the GDDR3 version,much better price,performance than the GDDR4 could ever hope to acheive.

hmm ok thats what I thought, just seeing that the gddr4 had an extra 9gb/s mem bandwidth made me doubt it a lil

The GDDR4 version does do a bit better overall, I'd get it if it was maybe $10 more than the GDDR3 version.

Oh, and note that many of the HD2600XT GDDR3 cards out there are underclocked a bit.. they usually have the core clocked at like 700/750MHz IIRC, stock clock is supposed to be 800MHz for the core.

ahh in canada ddr3 is 120, 8600gt is 130, and ddr4 is 170
