My question--I have a 580 watt psu but I noticed it only has 1 -12v rail running 25 amps. [my comp guy screwed me] The good thing is that my 260gtx is running just fine-48-idle and 80-load. That's a little high but very acceptable. I don't no much about psu consumption but I thought you should have at least 2-12v rails to run this card. I think the only thing that's saving me is that I really don't have too much hardware running off my psu, just basic. Is there anything I should be concerned with here?

-Thanks

the amount of 12V rails doesn't matter. What does matter is the amount of amps you can use on the rail(s). I recommend you get a new psu 'cause you're using too much (imo) for comfort:
.
get a new power supply and watch out if your mobo is even able to hold an 8pin 12v connector. One of my 260s died because of this although i had a 750 and latter an 850w psu.

The thing is everything has been running fine for about a month now, since I got the card, and you know the old addage," if it isn't broke don't fix it". I'm not sure what to do. I really hate to physically put in a new psu. But , of course, I don't want to burn out the card either!
