HI ... I have just bought a new PC, and I am a bit worried cause I have only 2 GB of ddr3 ram ... So I have this question ...

Is there any application/Game that requires more than 2 GB at the moment ? and when do you think will games require or recommend 4GB ?

Thanks in advance.

2GB DDR3 is more then enough for any game right now, it;s actually a waste to own DDR3 right now too DDR2 is good enough.

What Mhz for ram 1066 or 1300 or 1600mhz ? only 1600mhz make much a differance vs DDR2 that is worthing is money ? you get +5fps to top 10fps in 1920s1200 vs ddr2 800mhz or only 3-5fps. against DDR2 1102 stable mhz forceflex II

You're pretty safe with 2GB of ram, but I would recommend 4GB just to be set for future games that require more power. Also, DDR3 is a little early because DDR2 is not at all outdated and won't be for a while. I bought 4GB's of Corsair Ram (DDR2) from Newegg.com for $66 (after rebate).

i know. they not expensive anymore the DDR2 they perform well but only 800mhz+ and 1055mhz for 3fps. and 1600mhz ddr3 for. 5fps extra the maximum amounts apparently DDR2 vs DDR3 performances can get is 10.7fps according you buy the 2000mhz : and OC IT. to 2100mhz with a Overclocked cpu of Death. Which i doubt you have XD

mine is $105 and I think $95 after rebate ... I would have gone for 4GB ddr2, but the motherboard supports ddr3, I wasn't sure if it is possible to put a ddr2 in there.

I don't believe you. Since when does RAM give you any FPS whatsoever?

Faster acess of Bandwith to acess data increase. the gameplay you never heard of dual channel ?
why it did increase so much performacne in video game by 10% ? to go 2x1GB instead of one x 2GB ?
try to find out ? and it about to be same with nehalem : triple channel ddr3 : 3 channel DDR3 3 slot 3x1GB or so. or exemple 4x1GB would increase frame rate by in theory a 25% boost + ram increase Bandwith & calculating it add to the video card
but it strange how 4GB not add anything while if you play game on 1920x1200 with 8GB DDR3 1333mhz or 800mhz you get more performances in game but not with 4GB ? isn't that strange

Uhhh faster ram = moving information faster = less lag..

thats like asking if dialup effects your latency.

Once the RAM is getting info to the CPU quicker than it can use it there is basically no increase in performance from faster RAM. And from what I have heard with Intel's CPU', having the RAM run faster than the FSB can actually decrease performance, basically trying to keep a 1:1 ratio or 1:2. But anything else could give worse performance.

In synthetic benchmarks you will see a gain, but in real world there will be VERY little if any noticeable difference.

oh why people think they so smart.... Look Frame rate of different place there lot of Benchmark of same mobo : with different ram . if 1600mhz vs 1333mhz but your right about. the FSB Of the Ram it can make it rather difficulty to oc further then 1.0ghz increase but rarely people do go over 1.0ghz overclock increase
now let say. the review is LEGIT as you see HOW EVER go see more Ram review
il explain if you use 1GB ? memory. of VIdeo card = 2 512 meg. or something like that then 1GB Of it is got from ur ram to incraese is speed. there for only 1GB Left so having 3GB Increase. or 4GB how ever if you don't sli or get 1GB memory card like 4870

then more then 2GB barely do nothing
it shown that on even big resolution like 1080p=1920x1200 pc resolution
it do help how ever like I SAID half LOAD time if it take you 19 second to load (The Game) it would take you 5-9 second
with 4GB of ram the mhz will increase the rendering of FPS a little From ram but there is a limit so unless we find a way to increase FPS with more mhz and triple channel DDR3 i doubt usage of DDR5 From qimonda on market. & Other brand before 2011

bit-tech is the answer to your quesiton about ram

2gb Loading time 4GB loading time. half if not 70% faster in some case
