Hello all,

Looking for some input from you folks. I'm putting together a new pc for gaming and am undecided if it's better to go with 2 8800 GTS cards in a SLI config, or to just go with one 8800 GTX and add another later if needed. Are there many situations where SLI being enabled will help me with performance, or will I get just as good with most games these days with just the one 8800 GTX?

 Appreciate any input.

Thanks!

If you plan to go SLI GTX you'll need a PSU with 4 6 Pin PCIE connections and a case that will fit them.

I would definitely recommend a single 8800GTX.  It is easier to install/configure/maintain, and it will drive just about any resoultion on max settings.  If you ever decide to go up to 2560x1600 resolution and notice your games running slow, you can always add the second 8800GTX.  Even at 2560x1600 a single 8800GTX does pretty good.
