Does everything look alright with this build? I'm going to be using this PC mainly for Orange Box, Counterstrike Source, L4D, etc.

cpu : amd 64 x2 2.7ghz http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103210

Gpu : Sapphire 4670 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102820

mobo :Gigabyte Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128383

OR Foxconn Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813186155&Tpk=foxconn%206100

Ram : corsair ddr2 800 2x2 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145184

PSU+Case:LOGISYS Area 51 case w/ 480w PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811148030

HDD: 160 GB Seagate SATA Hard Drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148397

I just want to make sure everything is compatible and will work alright together. I'm not gonna be playing Crysis on high or anything, I just want to catch up on some PC games. Thank you, and sorry for all of the threads. : /

Updated Motherboard, Thanks!

You gotta be more specific than that... I'm pretty much handicapped when it comes to building computers. This is my first build.

What he means is that the motherboard cannot be trusted, as it is not a prominent brand. I personally have not heard of Jetway, so I would not trust it. Here, try this. Foxconn isn't exactly a very good brand either, but as far as the reviewers wrote, it seems reliable.

Would you recommend the Gigabyte or the Foxconn?

You should get the AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750 CPU. It's only $5 more at Newegg.com. Also, you should make sure that the RAM is compatible with the motherboard you choose. To do that, use corsair.com's memory finder. I think this motherboard is better than the ones in your post: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131391

just a warning- i have used both the foxconn and the gigabyte boards in previous builds and the south bridge is dangerously close to the PCI-e you might be fine with your single slot card, although if you were to ever want to upgrade to a dual socket card, you would have to buy a completly new motherboard also. i would look for a board with at least 1.75 inches below the PCI-e slot clear for about 10.5 inches across the board free of any compopents sticking up .5 inches or more.

I think I'm going with the Gigabyte board. Can someone verify that everything is compatible? That's my biggest concern right now. Gigabyte's website says the M61-PME-S2P is compatible with DDR2 800, but newegg only lists that DDR2 1066 is the standard memory for the motherboard. Anything?

Most 1066 ram is just overclocked 800 mhz ram. 800 mhz should be fine. And if your board supports it and you can spend just $5 more get this. Its faster than the 5200 clock for clock.

DDR2 1066 is dual channel DDR2 533, most mobos i have dealt with are backwards compatable with their single channel counterparts, as i believe the Gigabyte is. If you feel uncomfortable about taking the risk, I would just get DDR2 1066, nowadays its not that much more expensive anyways.

Nah, it's no big deal if it doesn't work out. Thanks a lot for all your help guys. I think I'll go with the better CPU for $5 extra!

Yea def the Kuma. If the psu does not work the best budget one I can see is a 550watt BFG on Newegg for $49.

If you want to find a cheap PSu replacement, I have used http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817170017 many times and have never had one hiccup once. I have been able to run these just fine with a phenom 9550 and dual 4830's and it ran fine.

You will need windows.. Unless you want Linux and wrestle with Wine. You can download and use Windows 7 RC for now and use it for free, in March you will want to buy a key.

HDD is weak. Spend $50 on a solid 250GB/320GB. You'll pay $7+ for shipping anyway. If I wasn't going to bed I'd fix the rest.

if you want a bigger hdd for like 10 extra this would work well http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=10007436 or if you don't want to spend that much, http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=10009443
