Here is the 32LD550at Costco for $400 and here is the 32LE5300 on Amazon for $500 plus free shipping. I don't really see a difference in the specs besides the LED (I don't really care about LED, unless it gives a better picture). Both seem to be pretty hit and miss with getting an IPS panel. So I'm leaning for the one at Costco because it's a $100 cheaper. There is also a Hannspree 42" 1080p 120Hz at Costco for $500, but I've never heard of Hannspree before, it did get some favorable reviews. So I'm here asking for some video hardware help. Which is the best?

LD550

LE5300

Hannspree

Edit: For some reason the links will not work with Costco so I found others.

Any reason besides it being LED lit?

I'd just get the LCD version. No real point in LED lit besides thinner screens, less weight, and brighter I think.

Do you like it? How's the picture quality and all that jazz?

Also what type of panel did you get?

LG uses their own S-IPS panels in all of their tvs. I'd go with the LCD. The LED would have no advantages, besides slightly deeper blacks. But it will have issues with backlight bleeding and clouding.

I don't know about all LGs having the IPS panel, the guys over at AVS forums seem to be getting a mixed bag. I did order the LED from Amazon, I'll check it out and see how it is. There is a 30 day return for what ever reason with them paying shipping, so we'll see. thanks
