ok,i was going to upgrade a dell 8100 with a budget of 350 dollars, but ive decided to do a build instead, so any parts help would be greatful, its goning be used school work and some gaming too. thanks

780G is a better integrated chipset for light gaming, but you'd have to go with an AMD CPU which means a slight power trade-off.

for $300 dollers the best you will get is a internal gpu pc

I posted a $360 build in his other thread with a 9600gt. The only question might be the PSU, but its probably ok.

yeah it's 9600gt with molex... but if ye want to make sure PSU is not a problem with GPU, try ATi 4670...

Are you gonna get the 1kw power supply or the 1.5, it might be better to get the 1.5. Dont forget to get phase cooling on everything, so that the price will be even lower.
