I know you can use the wired 360 controlllers on the computer but what about the play and charge things that has the cable that plugs the wirless controller into the 360? Will that work just like a wired controller on the pc?

Not that I found. All it would do is set the controller into charge mode, but still function wirelessly.

You have to buy the USB dongle for wireless 360 devices, which runs about $19.

Why not pay $10 more and get the battery charge pack? That way you can enjoy wireless and have more than one battery always on full charge. It's only 23.99 at Amazon.

Well im don't have a 360 yet, I'm getting one for Christmas. I just want a wired one to use for my computer games and then I'll have a second controller once I get the 360.

well you're limiting yourself, especially if you are getting a 360 later. If you get the charge pack now, you'll definately benefit from it later. The plug n play thing is crap. I know, because I used one before realizing and switch to the charge pack. The plug n play takes much too long to charge and it requires the 360 to be powered on if you want to charge without playing. It really is impractical.
