If i was getting a 37" HDTV, will 720p really make a difference to 1080p?

a lot of people told me it wouldn't matter.

i figured the cut off would be i get a 37" 720p, and then if i decided to get anything bigger, than i would switch to 1080p, but i don't know if I should shell out the money.

Just get 720p for that size. Anything bigger than 40-42 inches than make the jump to 1080p.

37 best to go 720p, not big enough for 1080p anyways.

If money is not a problem, you definitely should go for 1080p.

And yes there is a difference when watching Bluray, small but present.

only really thing that maters is how far are you sitting from the set because unless you are sitting 3 feet from the TV you will not really see a noticeable difference there will be one but not a big enough one to warrant the extra cash.

720p because it will end up being cheaper.
