Yes, when I go to newegg.com and type in mp3 player, I get a lot of results for far cheaper mp3 players. I think I would get a touch if I wanted an mp3 player that doubled as a handheld gaming machine. Some of the games I've seen on it compare to the DS and PSP, but I don't think it's quite as good as those two, so again, it would be mainly for the music, and a lot of extra money for that ability to play games.
Not a fan. You're paying for a load of Gimmicks. If you want a good portable music player there are much better and cheaper options out there.markop2003
Sure, it may have a price tag (don't all apple porducts?), but really it's pretty darn good. It has compatibility with iTunes, beautiful display and presentation, and ease of use. Not sure about the 4.5 stars though.

Why buy an apple product at all then? Also compatibility with one of the worst music players ever made isn't really a plus. There are other players that offer superior sound quality for less cash with the same input and output.
I just got mine, its great. Definitely dont get it if you already have a 2g, theres really no big changes besides a faster processor. I was going to get an archos 5, but the reports of multiple failures, and nearly non-existant customer service broke the deal. Then it was between the ipod and zune hd, and what it came down to was apples massive following. 75,000+ apps, and tons of accessories. Even though the zune has radio, rumor has it the touch/iphone are getting firmware updates for it(since theres already an fm transmitter in it, it just isnt activated.) . Even though the zune claims to have apps in the works, you just cant deny how much cool stuff there is for the ipod, plus its slim, has great menu design, and a great lcd. I say buy it, especially since theres a 64gig available now.
