42" Sany HDTV Problem

Ok so, I have this 42" Sanyo HDTV I acquired today and when I plug ii in to an outlet and turn it on the power light is on, but I cannot operate the tv at all and it has a blank screen. Does anybody know what could be the problem?

It's a dead unit. Go get a replacement. You should expect stuff like this to happen with brands like Sanyo and other no-name ones.
