many online articles show that the 3dmark vantage score of a4870x2 is slightly higher than the 5870.does this mean the 4870x2 is still going to edge out 5870 when it comes out

The 5870 is stronger then a GTX 295, without PhysX.

In games.... though the HD 4870 X2 is better in Vantage ATM. We also know though that driver support for new products is not the best and gets better over time.

Not necessarily, but we won't know that for sure until they have been released. Vantage is a benchmark. The 4870x2 probably edges out the 5870 because of it having dual gpu's. Also, the drivers probably aren't as optimized for the 5800 series as they are for the 4800's.

I'd rather get a 5870 as it's power draw is much lower, thus running cooler. Also, it is Directx11 enabled and it isn't like you are gonna be playing Crysis at 2560x1600. If you run an average sized 22" monitor, a 5870 is more than enough.

off topic, and not to be rude, do you ever use punctuation? its really hard to read what you say, especially long posts.

I can read it perfectly, you don't need to use punctuation at all... It never helps me, but then again I suck at literature, so I'm not the person to ask.

once again, not to be rude, but you should try some of his long posts. just one big paragraphy, no skipping lines, commas, question marks, full stops or anything. im not saying my punctuation is perfect, but i find his posts really difficult to read. i know im not alone in this either.

I felt i needed to back you up in this because you're right. I can perfectly understand and read the hidden punctuations, because that is a skill you get when you read a lot.By the way if someonedoesn't want to put any effort to his writing than leave him be, after all is there a law which prohibits it?

When i first met marc it was a pain in the a** reading his longer posts :P but the more you keep reading the easier you will understand. Even if its still hard to read he always bring up good points so reading is a must. :)

That doesn't make much sense! Good for you if you can read a book at the speed of light, but trying to read anything you write is a pain in the @rse. Would it really hurt for you to TRY to use punctuation!?

Some people are not good at reading, im not ..... you're just a very inconsiderate typer!
