yah its not worth it don't buy it.....not until the price comes down and we find out if it overclocks much
GTX275 is the card to get! Almost as good as the GTX285 but for only 240$. Overclocked it beats the GTX285yetiHUNTER001i don't recall seeing any overclocking benchmarks out yet??? and it won't touch a 285 at higher resolutions. the best deals right now are the 260 and the 4870 1gb
Anandtech, the hd4890 beat the gtx275 http://anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=3539JigglyWiggly_GTX275 OC'ed beats GTX285 AND 4890 http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Zotac/GeForce_GTX_275_Amp_Edition/26.html
[QUOTE="JigglyWiggly_"]Anandtech, the hd4890 beat the gtx275 http://anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=3539yetiHUNTER001GTX275 OC'ed beats GTX285 AND 4890 http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Zotac/GeForce_GTX_275_Amp_Edition/26.html That's comparing an OC'd 275 to a stock 4890... If you OC the 4890 you will get even again.
They are both the same price. It also seems that the 4890 wins the majority of the timeFrom what i saw at guru Gtx275 beats the HD4890 and its cheaper..

looks at the CF results for ati 4890 here, and also the single gpu'shttp://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ATI/HD_4890_CrossFire/6.html, pretty awesome CF scaling here also :http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ATI/HD_4890_CrossFire/28.html. 3dmark isnt much to go by, every game is different, but i would think crysis is a good gpu bencher even now, other results for other games on these benches show ati 4890 performing rather well. It can be oc'd to 1ghz core clock and 4600mhz GDDR5 1GB along with its huge 800 SP's. This overclock is between 20-25% better than 4870, which i'd say is a good improvement. I'm also not worried about cooling, because you'll get companies making great cooling for em, just think about HiS's iceQ technology.

Early rumours have seen cards reaching insane speeds as high as 1000MHz core and 4800MHz memory. In our own testing we found the cards remained stable upto 990MHz core and 4600MHz memory which results in nearly 30% performance improvement over the 4870 cards and performance was incredibly close and sometimes matching GTX 285 performance levels. Now Novatech does not guarantee that these cards will overclock the same for everyone but it seems safe to say cards should happily run at 950MHz core area and 4400MHz memory.
read the rest, but im soldhttp://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/video/display/radeon-hd4890_16.html#sect0
