im still investigating the death of it but for now its being ruled an accident.... haha but no here is what happend

earlier today my windows 7 said i needed 2 updates so i went into the update center and did it...then i turned off my pc and now when i try to turn it on the card fan is like freakin out its going fast to slow every 2 seconds...and on the card i had 4 red lights popping up....its not my mobo because i am now running off my 9600GT.....

im wondering if the card died or what...any ideas?...should i try restoring my pc to an earlier time and putting the card back in?

Well your card should still be under manufacturer warranty.

What were the updates for? security?

That's strange an update would do that. I never update without checking what they are. I had my sound drivers scewed up on my old computer because of Windows Update. It's my XP machine and itinstalled them one time when I shut down. Never again.:?
