thats not true. 4gb is 4gb no matter what the memory bandwith of the OS is. thats an old rumor. 32bit can recognize more than 4gb. 64bit just utilizes the memory in a better way, but also takes up a it more RAM aswell. only a little though. check how much memory ur GPU is sharing with your RAM. there are rare cases where windows thinks it has less Ram due to memory sharing. check ur system information & see whats messing you up. if u have vista or 7 just type system information. choose the first category and report back

No, 32-bit cannot access more than 4GB of RAM. Its physically impossible. With PAE which has its own problems you can, but that is a 36-bit extension, and not a factor with consumer windows. Where are you seeing this 776MB RAM? What does task manager show when you go to performance? Did you change something to go from 2.5gb to whatever it is now?

Wrong. 32 bit OS cannot allocate more than 4GB of RAM(RAM plus GPU RAM) in total, it is not the bus width we are talking about here.

32-bit means 2^32 and that equals 4 294 967 296 or 4gb. 4gb is the max a 32bit os can utilize. its not a rumor, it is a set parameter.

what does it say in the bios? if it is right in the bios try reloading windows 32bit or not you should still get way more than that. 32bit should read around 3.3gb ram.

Thats because MS got tired of all the people complaining about not seeing their 4GB of RAM on 32 bit. So in SP1 they made Vista 32-bit see a total of 4GB of RAM if installed. BUT it still is a 32-bit OS and can only address 4GB total including VRAM and such. So while your Vista 32 might see 4GB, trust me it cannot use all 4GB.

yeah that's so true if you go into the task manager it will still say physical ram 3.3gb or so but people will think it's 4gb since that's was they see on computer properties.

Ehm, i might be stating the obvious here but have you tryed a bios update? Ive encountered hardware incompatibility's with almost any piece except the memory so far that could be alleviated through a easy bios update but wouldn't be surprised if that helps here aswell. For how much G/MB is a single card recognised btw?
