Ok I know, whoever wins GS's GOTY award.... well it's not really a big deal. But what will win?
Sorry they only give you 5 choices, LIST YOURS if it's not there

Crysis. Orange Box will not win because it is a PACKAGE deal, not just one game.

This is the worst reasoning I have ever heard.
It released as a single package, it's listed as a single package, it's reviewed as a single package, it's nominated as a single package, and can therefoe win as a single package.

But it isn't a single game itself. It is a single package, but "The Orange Box" is not a game, and shouldn't be able to win a Game of the Year award in my opinion. Team Fortress 2, HL2 Episode 2, and Portal are all single games that should be able to win single game awards, but not the Orange Box.
The way I see it, the Orange Box should be no more viable a candidate for an award like GOTY than the Command and Conquer Saga. They're both the same type of product, a bundle of games, even if one has three of its included games being new and the other has only previously released games included.
Orange Box was great, as to be expected, but same old stuff except for Portal..which was awsome!
Crysis was very, very good too, but been there, done that...not that different from any other (Far Cry).
So my vote would go to Call of Duty 4! The graphic effects (smoke, rocket trails and explosions), sounds and variety of missions with all the intense action, make this my favorite game of this year! IMHO
I'm really happy that no one has voted for Crysis so far. It's like Halo 3, it feels like every PC gamer loves it just because it's an exclusive.RK-Mara
You 'ought to be hung for comparing Crysis to Halo 3 on a PC gaming forum...
PC gamers love it because it has ridiculous graphics and it's a fun game. Oh, and at the time I'm posting this, Crysis has the most votes.
STALKER should/would have gotten goty if it wasn't for the bugs and faulty performance issues on much much older rigs..NEOSPARKING
Hmm. I didn't see any bugs or performance issues. I just thought it was weak.
Umm,
The Witcher is by far the best game of the year,
and isn't on that list.
You realize that there are other and better genres than FPS yes?
I picked World In Conflict from that list, because it is enjoyable, but not GOTY.
Why the hell didn't you pick OTHER, then?Umm,

Other is insulting,
this thread should be called "FPSOTY"

Why? What's World in Conflict doing up there then?
The OP had 5 options and tried to nail the 4 biggest, most acclaimed titles with high levels of interest and included an Other option for an "out".
Not bad IMO. Although I will grant you it's unfortunate The Witcher wasn't included. So, what can you do: choose Other, write The Witcher in your post and people will get the idea! If enough people think The Witcher should be GOTY, I bet you'd see in the next such forum poll....or just make your own :)

It's easily the game I had the most fun with this year, but the bugs/performance issues killed this game for a lot of people it seems Out of the games on the list I've only played Crysis, which is good, but not good enough to be GOTY

[QUOTE="Citan76"][QUOTE="naval"]i would say crysis, because ob is not one single gamenaval
Yes but it was reviewed as one game so it counts as one. Therefore it takes the cake.
still its not a game but three games mixed togethar
1.) There are technically more than three games in there, because each episode can stand alone.
2.) You seem to have the missed the point: it has already been nominated as a single game. If it's been nominated, that would be an indication that the people choosing think it's eligible to win.
