Ok, I get my taxes back soon so it's time to update my graphics card. I have a 250gts right now and it plays pretty well at 1440x900 resolutions. I got Battlefield 3 at launch and my PC barely runs it. I haven't actually played it in months because it's barely playable. Now with TW2, Arkham City and Skyrim it runs just fine. For my next card I want something that can run BF3 properly and be decently priced. I am willing to pay under $400 right now but I am also willing to SLI at a later time.

I am looking at two cards right now.

This 560 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0051778S4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER and

this 570 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130595.

I think the 560 is great because of the price but I'm worried that I'll lose performance vs the 570. What I would like to know is if I will actually see a big difference in fps or requirements. It is also important that if I go to a higher resolution monitor that I won't see huge drops in fps. So thanks in advance.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130739 Get the 448 core 560 ti and overclock it, it will perform close to a 570. If you aren't going to overclock then just get the 570.

I have the gtx 560 ti and it is a very good card for running games like bf3, ultra and high combo settings. The upgrade to the 570 really depends on how much extra money you have. For a game like bf you may only get 10 more fps from the 560 ti, which can make a difference. But is it really worth the extra?

That one doesn't have the lifetime warranty. Also I have never done overclocking before so it's foreign to me.

Overclocking is a hard as learning how to print your name. Add 10% to core clock on msi afterburner and tinker with volts to get it stable if necessary. Get the 448 core I say.

For the money I think I'll be getting the 560 ti and I'll try overclocking it as well.

Seems you might have settled for the 560 TI, but if you consider getting the 570, you should also consider the HD 6970, it's actually slightly cheaper, and performs a bit better overall.

That plus the 560 ti single card. I run on ultra, 4xfsaa, 16xfsaa at 1680x1050 at 40-60FPS. SLI FTW for BF3. 1680x1050 is native for my monitor.

XFX is phasing out their lifetime warranties, and they're getting much more conditional at the moment. A lot of people have been having issues getting RMAs processed with them, and their customer service runs hot and cold often. 3 years ago, it used to be worth spending the extra ten dollars to get XFX cards and their great warranties. Recently though, I wouldn't go XFX.

I hate overclocking, it scares me too much. Almost anytime I have tried it, just increasing the clock by a few Mhz has resulted in something going wrong on all of my builds. OCing is just a waste of time becuase you have to risk your expensive hardware.

560 ti seems to be a real good card that most people really like. I have heard great things about the zotac amp edition and I think it's fairly cheap at newegg.

The 6870 has about the same performance as the 560 Ti, and is like up to $50 less.
