This is the last question (I think) before i purchase my build. My build currently stands at 761$ My question is would I really benefit greatly from a 5850 to spend 110$ more on it? What are the real pros of spending 871$ instead of 761$ What am I really gaining from the upgrade? (keep in mind Im quite happy with the majority of parts in my build, especially the case combo. The only thing I really am not sure about is the GPU and the Mobo.)

Build with the 5770.

Build with the 5850

Also I realize i have been making a lot of threads for this and i apologize, its just that im looking to make the purchase very soon before the specials end and the week begins. Thanks for the help guys :) Also I will be posting pictures of my completed build.

I would say the 5850 if you are planning on using this for a fair amount of gaming, as this will work with just about any game out there at the moment.

So you're saying the 5850 offers a substantial advantage over the 5770 regarding the current games out?

It offers mich more than the 5770. The 5750 is almost as good as a 4970! (which is not good)

^ This, although I didn't think the 5770 was that bad! Basically the 5850 is probabaly the best value GPU on the market, bang for buck it is easily the best.

I would go for the 5850 over the 5770 since you don't really have the option of getting a 5770 and then crossfiring them in the future (only one of you PCI-E slots has 16 lanes, the other only has 4 :( ) which is the only reason I would get a 5770, unless your on a tight budget.

the problem with upgrading is that computers get faster and faster in such a short period of time that upgrading is a poor price to performance ratio of increase. what i mean is...reserving a system for upgradability is not recommended. I know how a lot of people talk about upgrading their computers but in the end it just isn't worth upgrading a piece of junk. well it's junk by the time u want to upgrade it :)
