My 5770 might possibly have a problem. I only get 30 to 20 fps in fallout 3 and oblivion. I'm not sure if this is thanks to the 128bit memory or just plain damage from overclocking. Been running this thing at 960 core clock and 1360 memory and i think it might be destroyed.

Gets BOUT 20 TO 14 FPS ON MORROWIND FOR SOME REASON ALSO.

Ok ill check that out. I sent it into XFX and they said thats normal and it was acting normal for them and they specifically told me when i asked them if it should run crysis at 20fps average with a maximum of 29 they said that sounds about right. I don't think so considering i remember when i first got the card it was alot better.

They did not rma the card instead they sent this same one right back. Took a total of 1 week for them to even reply to my message to tevhnical support and another week for them to even consider a rma.

Also forgot to mention the little bastard runs at 80C now at standard clocks. IDK why. Thats under a load by the way. And i build this computer so don't worry about getting into changing parts etc.

I think that's pretty normal. Also 80C under load sounds good. Is the card on stock frequencies?

Yeah 850 core 1200 memory. Just used to run 60fps on fallout maxed out and around 40 to 50 on crysis very high 720p.

Sounds like a driver issue to me. If you've updated recently, try rolling back to what you previously had.

60C at idle doesn't seem right, IMO. My 5870 runs at about 32C when it's idle.

My 5770s run at around 34C when idle. 60 strikes me as way too hot when just sitting there. What cooling/case do you have?

Only when running at full rate (I overclock mine to 920/1320) does it begin to get into the 70C+ area. I did find a single 5770 would struggle with some games (JC2 only managed 25fps) but your idle temperatures are definitely a bad sign.

OT: Do you have dual monitors hooked up to your card? That boosts idle temps a lot. Most people have their 5870s idle at 40C or less, but I can't get it under 55C because I run two monitors off it. The reason for that is simply that the clocks don't decrease that much when you run more than one monitor off the card (this is done to prevent flickering and desktop corruption).

If you don't have a dual monitor setup, it's definitely not a normal idle temp for that card. I'd clean it for dust if i were you.
